Has a decent feel in the run game and takes good angles in pursuit, but isn't overly rangy and is slow to redirect and get back up to speed quickly.
Isn't real fluid or comfortable in coverage. Looks tight in the hips, doesn't have great feel in zone and routinely allows receivers to run free across and behind his frame and displays little awareness in when/who to pick up.Gets caught staring into the backfield and doesn't have the type of range to make up for any kind of false movements.
Impression: A solid MAC linebacker, but doesn't have the type of range, instincts or pop to hold up at any LB spot at the next level."
Positive: Underrated weak side linebacker prospect who has shown significant improvement the past two seasons. Athletic, displays speed in a straight line as well as laterally, and is fluid moving about the field. Smooth flipping his hips in coverage, gets depth on pass drops, and nicely redirects to ball carriers. Scrapes well laterally, makes a lot of athletic plays in space, and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Quick up the field defending the run and wraps up ball carriers.
Negative: Marginally instinctive and often times late to react. Lacks size and gets swallowed up by blocks.
Analysis: Kamara proved to be a three-down linebacker as a senior when he turned in one of his best seasons to date. He lacks starting potential at the next level yet should be a very good backup and has the skills to be a solid special teams player."

2008 - 71 tackles with 9 starts at OLB and special teams
2007 - 67 tackles with 12 starts at OLB
Strengths: Intelligent team leader who is durable and physcially strong. Plays well against the run - can shed and tackle. Has decent lateral mobility and shows basic coverag skills. Great personality and service orientation.
Weaknesses: Lacks elite speed for coverage of quicker backes and ends. A bit undersized for DE and even OLB in NLF.
