Positive: Reliable underneath receiver who's displayed flashes of ability in college. Runs solid routes, quickly gets into breaks, and stays low on exit, separating from defenders. Possesses good eye/hand coordination and makes catches in stride. Gets vertical and extends to grab the ball away from his frame. Plays with good quickness. Works hard running after the reception trying to pick up positive yardage. Makes the difficult reception with defenders draped on him.
Negative: Lacks deep speed and the ability to stretch the field. Never capitalized on a tremendous sophomore season.
Analysis: Goodwin was a reliable target at Washington last season after being a dominant receiver during his sophomore campaign. He's fallen under the radar screen for a variety of reasons but has a chance to make an NFL roster as a fifth receiver."

HIGH SCHOOL & PERSONAL: Helped Antelope Valley to an 8-4 record, the Golden League championship and the second round of the state playoffs ... caught 20 passes for 400 yards with three touchdowns ... also rushed for 245 yards on 23 carries, with three touchdowns ... on the defensive side, recorded 55 tackles, eight interceptions and a fumble recovery.
Strengths: Goodwin is player who gives great effort. A great blocker on the edge and downfield, he springs fellow receivers or ball carriers for long gains. A trusting receiver who comes up with catch after catch. Makes receptions on clutch downs. Can go up and fight for the ball and come down with it.
Weaknesses: An average athlete with no special skills. Allows the ball to get to his chest too often. Not a physical receiver, he struggles to defeat press coverage. Not going to create much separation on his routes.
Projection: UDFA who should get a training camp invite."
