NOTE: Broke is right arm late in the 2010 season and will not be able to compete in post-season All-star games.
At Georgia Tech, Josh played right away as a true freshman in 2007 and completed 5-of-13 passes for 93 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He also rushed for 339 yards that first year.
In 2008, he rushed for 693 yards and 7 TDs. He also threw for 73.5 ypg with 2 TDs. Missed two games, and parts of others with injuries.
In 2009, he was tabbed 1st-team all-ACC. He was chosen team captain, and started all 14 games. He tallied 1,037 yards rushing and 1,701 passing (75 of 162, 10/5).
Before being injured (broken right arm) in 2010, he tallied 674 yards passing (39 of 105, with 7 TDs and 4 ints.) He also rushed 166 times for 876 yards in 9 games with 10 rushing TDs.
Strengths: The perfect triple-option QB, with nice size, a LB physique, a strong running style, great ball skills and timing. Accurate pitches. Solid ball security. Runs over people. Can throw a little, and is usually accurate with his throws. Strong arm. Solid leadership skills and no problems off the field. Young.
Weaknesses: Has no pro position, unless some team is brave enough to go to the triple option in the pros. Does have enough athletic ability to be looked at at any number of positions. Best spot may actually be as a SS on defense. Has an injury history. Has never had a decent completion percentage. Injured arm should be fine, but check it out to be sure.
Projection: Priority UDFA who may be drafted late if he puts up impressive numbers at a combine."
