Takes way too big of a first step — overextending himself — and will allow defenders to really jar him at the point on the bull rush and knock him off balance. However, does display above-average short- area quickness and lateral ability for his size. Looks comfortable sliding his feet, staying patient and can really extend his arms and let go of a strong punch on contact. But, simply lacks the range to consistently stay on his man in space; would be much better served playing in tighter areas as a guard.
Looks a lot more comfortable as a run blocker, sits into his stance much better, is able to fire off the football and does a nice job staying low into his blocks and extending his arms into contact. Has the ability to generate a bit of a pop on contact, can gain leverage and seal defenders from the football.
However, lacks ideal body control at times, will get caught lunging into blocks — both off the snap and at the second level — and too often will whiff into his man. However, looks surprisingly athletic when asked to pull and get out to the second level. Drops his pad level well, can chop down defenders in space and has the short-area quickness to chip at the line and quickly seal a defender downfield.
Impression: Is playing out of position at Arkansas, but displays enough power and athleticism to make a roster as a guard prospect. Gets exposed at times on an island as a tackle when asked to play in space, but I think he can clean up a lot of things from a technique standpoint just by being able to play in tighter areas inside."
Negatives: Isn't quick and agile enough to be an offensive tackle in the NFL, but worth a look at right tackle in certain schemes. Soft in the midsection. Good, not great power. Limited change-of-direction agility, and has real problems turning on the move. Can resort to sloppy technique. Limited experience at offensive guard."
Positive: Large, wide-bodied lineman who is best in a small area. Keeps his feet moving, remains patient, and immediately gets his hands into opponents. Stays square, strong at the point of attack, and keeps defenders away from the action. Controls defenders and completely removes them from the action. Built low to the ground and blocks with good lean and pad level.
Negative: Inconsistent; looks terrific at times but also rather ordinary on occasions. Lacks great footwork sliding out to protect the edge. Ineffective in motion and lumbers around the field. Must improve his blocking balance.
Analysis: Dominguez was productive and durable on the college level and is best suited to play guard. Possesses the physical skills necessary to play in a system that does not require him to cover much area."
Negatives: Not much of an athlete... Not a natural bender but works hard to maintain good pad level... Will play too high in pass protection... Waist bender that struggles to bend his knees... Inconsistent, can be slow into his pass set... Gets beat by edge speed... Overextends and loses his balance trying to reach the corner... Struggles to redirect, can't get in front of countermoves... Doesn't stay with his blocks long enough, releases to quickly... Not very sudden, lacks explosion in his game... Solid straight-line speed but lacks good initial quickness... Marginal flexibility and body control... Awkward in space and can't hit a moving target... Doesn't bring his feet with him... Will lunge to make contact in space and is on the ground too much... Looks as if he's playing in wet cement when trying to block downfield."
2009: Dominguez played in 12 and started 10 games at offensive tackle for the Razorbacks. He did not play in the Ole Miss game because of injury. He was a member of the offensive line that blocked for an offense that led the SEC in scoring offense (36.0), pass offense (295.5) and is third in total offense (427.3). Arkansas was nationally ranked in passing offense (10th), total offense (20th), scoring offense (ninth) and passing efficiency (11th). Arkansas' offensive line did not allow a sack against Missouri State, Eastern Michigan and East Carolina and only allowed one sack in the Mississippi State game. He blocked for seven 100-yard games from the Arkansas receivers and three 100-yard games from the Razorback running backs.
2008: He began the year as the starter at left tackle and made 10 starts throughout the season. He started every game, except games against Florida and Tulsa, which were the only games in which he did not play. He helped Michael Smith become the ninth 1,000-yard rusher in school history, finish the year second in the SEC and No. 22 in the nation with 207 carries for 1,072 yards and eight touchdowns. He also helped protect Casey Dick, who completed 205 passes, and threw for 2,586 yards and 13 touchdowns. The completion total is a school record, the yardage total ranks second and the TDs tie for eighth. Arkansas' 3,115 yards passing is a school record and the 4,477 yards of total offense ranks ninth.
2007: Dominguez backed up All-American Robert Felton at left tackle in 2007 and played in six games. He did not make any starts but earned snaps against Troy, North Texas, Chattanooga, Ole Miss, Florida International and Tennessee. He also had 10 knockdown blocks. He helped Arkansas' line pave the way for an SEC-leading and school-record 3,725 rushing yards, an average of 286.5 yards per game, which was fourth in the nation. In the opener against Troy, he logged five snaps and graded out at 100 percent on running plays and at 80 percent for the game. He had 22 snaps against UNT and graded out at 100 percent on passing plays and 89 percent on runs for an average of 90 with four knockdowns. He totaled eight plays against Chattanooga and after not playing against Auburn in the following game, had his most effective effort the following week against Ole Miss. In 10 snaps against the Rebels, he graded out at 100 percent on both running and passing plays for an overall grade of 100 with two knockdowns. He received his most extensive action the following week with 44 snaps against FIU and earned a 94 grade on passing plays. He also had four knockdown blocks. He played 27 snaps at Tennessee and graded out at 92 percent on passing plays.
2006: Redshirt
Strengths: Great mass and reach for position. Decent durability, starting as 12 games as a senior and 10 of 12 as a junior. Decent footwork and punch in pass protection. Will be helped by moving inside.
Weaknesses: Lacks experience at guard. Not fast or quick; may not be able to 'get in front' if ask to pull. Lacks athleticism. Was not very impressive during combine.
Projection: 7th round. Needs to show more at pro day to move-up; may slip out of draft."
